Troubleshooting AOL mail services issue

Verifying the filters
A filter can cause a lot of trouble at times, it can subtly send the messages meant for your inbox to the trash folder or some other folder for that matter. You may now need to verify the inputs of the filters to ensure that your messages are where they are supposed to be.
Getting to know about the delay in deliveries
There are times when messages get delayed and that can happen due to a number of reasons, one of which is delay in transit. This can be due to issues on the mail server, huge online traffic or some issues with the router.
Looking through the spam folder
In case you find a message in the spam folder which was by no means meant to be there, mark the same message as ‘not spam’.
- You need to first log in to AOL Mail.
- Select the Spam folder.
- Click on the message which is not spam and follow the next step.
- Click Not Spam on the very top of the page.
